You have been feeling it all. You are highly intuitive, and you want to feel more sovereign in groups, more confident in yourself, more grounded.
Or you may already be leading. Holding space for others, feeling your way through working with energy, doing it well, because nobody ever showed you how a container is actually built or how any of it really works.
Or you are aware there is more than the five senses, but you have looked at all of this from the outside and wondered whether you have to be spiritual to be here, or whether you can simply learn about energy and the unseen.
All of you have been doing your best, entirely on your own, and you are ready for the skills.
Three different places to be standing. The same thing is missing from all of them.
You were never given instruction. There was no training and there was no guide. You know there should be a way to protect yourself, navigate the energies around you, and understand your gifts.
This is where you find clarity and build competence.
What's Planned
Over three days, you learn to build an energetic container. How energy works and the foundational tools for a more sovereign experience.
I help you create an energetic boundary that is potent, grounded, and practical. It strengthens your own energy field, and it holds your meditation practice, your healing space, and the ceremonial space you hold for others.
We talk a great deal about energy, how it influences you, and how you are a conduit for it.
You build greater awareness of your own discernment, so that you can tell your own experience from someone else's more easily and more clearly. You understand your intuitive strengths more deeply.
And you learn a way of speaking with guides and allies: the shamanic journey method, and direct communication with benevolent beings.
Sunday leads up to and closes with you meeting a spirit ally. Not a symbol, and not a positive metaphor. A benevolent ally who vets other spirits on your behalf, who helps you navigate the unseen with discernment, and who becomes a presence in ordinary life. They have been waiting.
Friday and Saturday build toward Sunday. They give you everything you need so that the journey is spiritually safe, so that you have the capacity and the know-how, and so that the method holds when you practice on your own, outside this class.
This intensive is the first course of the Path of Mastery. Completing it opens the Self Mastery threshold and satisfies the prerequisite for every course that follows.

Energetic Boundaries
Invocation and intention. How to create energetic boundaries, declare what you are doing, and activate a new level of protection that you will notice.
These two are the fundamentals of spiritual safety and energetic potency, and they are what a sound container is comprised of. You learn how to activate one, and how to amplify it by making it personal. You learn the power of your words, and how to articulate them so that they are aligned to your goals, your desires, and your prayers.

Your Intuitive Gifts
You learn what your strongest intuitive gifts are. The clairs, clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience and others, are how unseen energetic information is being shown to you. You learn to decipher the one you have and strengthen the one you want more of.
We practice with partners. I lead you through experiential exercises. There is a great deal of lively conversation and many questions answered.

The Journey Method
We start with why this method works, where it comes from, and how it is still used all over the world. I break it down so that you know how to use it.
We practice, and by the end of the day you journey to meet your spirit ally. We make many journeys to this ally. You learn how to work with them, what they offer you, and how to begin a relationship that lasts.
Yours for life, through your own capacity and your own connection. Nobody hands this to you.
In the Room
We gather in a reinvented stained glass church in northwest Portland, with a lounge and a patio. It is a peaceful building, far enough from downtown that you can feel the difference when you walk in.
Friday evening you arrive, find a seat, and we begin. We work sitting up, talking and writing and practicing out loud. You learn something and you apply it the same night.
Saturday blends teaching, your own questions, and practice with a partner. You try something and say what you noticed. They say what they noticed. There are group conversations, and we explore what is alive in the room.
Sunday you lie down on the floor with an eye mask. I drum and I guide, and you have plenty of time to meet an ally and begin building the relationship.
We close together.
Why It's Built This Way
Most teaching goes straight to the journey method. This one does not.
You learn energetic boundaries and discernment first, across Friday and Saturday, so that when you journey on Sunday you can better tell what you are perceiving, set up your field while you do it, and trust what comes back to you from the unseen.
Safety first is not a delay. It is the reason Sunday works.
What Changes in Ordinary Life
Most people arrive with plenty of information. Books, videos, meditations, teachers on the internet. What they never get is practice, and practice is what turns knowing into being able to do it.
That is the difference between understanding spirituality and feeling safe inside it.
Here is what students tell me changes once the tools are in their hands.
You are less reactive, because you can tell what is yours and what is not.
You are less drained by other people, and less flattened by what is happening in the world.
You recover faster when you lose your footing, because you know how to come back.
You trust your own read of a room instead of deferring to everyone else's.
Across three days, all of it is taught, practiced, and put in your hands.
What This Intensive Does Not Do
It does not require you to believe anything. You are not asked to adopt a cosmology, join a tradition, or take on an identity. You learn methods, your own experience is respected, and you keep what works for you.
It does not make you a practitioner or a spiritual teacher. I am not teaching you how to teach others to journey.
It does not make you a healer. Working on behalf of another person is separate training, taught later, and not everyone is called to it or needs to be.
It does not make you dependent on me. You make the journey yourself, on the third day, and you leave knowing how to make it again without me in the room.

A spirit ally, and the beginning of a relationship with them.
The journey method, and an understanding of how to journey on your own.
A daily invocation practice: your own words, spoken with real force, and a new way to walk in the world with the spirits and energies that support you.
A deeper knowledge of your intuitive gifts, how they work, and how to have more control of them.

And one more thing, less tidy than the rest. There is a clearing element to this intensive. Most students find that resistance, misguidance, confusion, and disconnection move over the course of the weekend, and that what is left is the knowing that you are gifted and capable.
The Altar
My spiritual practice is nature-based and shamanic. The shamanic perspective I was taught has core elements shared by Indigenous peoples across the globe, and my teachers, my traditions, and my spirits anchor the energetic container of this class.
The altar in the room is how I honor the spirits who support me as a teacher. Each student's name is written on a white prayer cloth and placed there, whether you attend in the room or from home. Like a tuning fork, the altar brings the room into resonance with the energies that help you succeed here. You may feel this once we begin, or even feel an excitement as we near the start of the intensive.
There is unseen effort and preparation on my part that you do not see in the classroom, and it is done on behalf of your success.
The altar asks nothing of you. You do not have to interact with it or believe in its purpose, and I will never require you to build one or follow my practice. If you are curious, ask me. There is further guidance in other offerings at IRIS.
Attending Online
The intensive runs live in the room and live on Zoom at the same time. Online students receive every teaching and do every exercise and every journey.
You see the whole room. There is a 360 degree camera and a microphone set for listening, so you are watching the class rather than watching a screen share.
What is different: you set up your own space, and you practice alongside the other students online. An assistant is assigned to you and runs the Zoom, so that you are integrated, included, and attended to. I speak to you from the room throughout, and you are part of every conversation.
The energetic container includes you, as you will hear in my invocation for the class.
About Amber Jane
I am a Seer, Healer, and Teacher, and the founder of IRIS.
My gifts have been present since childhood. After my daughter was born they intensified. Spirits became visible and audible, I could sense what other people were feeling, and I could hear the natural world. What I did not have was instruction. I had experiences and no framework for them, sensitivity and no boundary, and a world around me that made me feel I was making it up, that treated most of what I knew to be real as unreal.
I found my teacher, Jan Engels-Smith, and completed formal lineage training at the LightSong School of 21st Century Shamanism. I have since built a private practice and sat with over a thousand clients. I began teaching a shorter version of this class in 2019. It has grown, and this is the form it takes now.
This knowledge was never meant to be kept behind closed doors. For centuries it belonged to lineage holders, initiates, and the few who found their way to a master teacher. Somewhere along the line it started to look like you had to become a healer in order to know how to be a sovereign being.
Sacred Sovereignty is the foundation I did not have. I teach these methods so that they belong to you, whatever you decide to be, do, and become.

Intensive Weekend

Eleven hours of teaching and practice across three days. Attendance on all three days is required for completion. Sunday is built on Friday and Saturday and cannot be taken alone. Audio replays are sent afterward for review and return. They do not stand in for attendance.
Where: In person in northwest Portland, Oregon, with street parking available. The address is shared with you after you enroll. Online on Zoom, with the link in every reminder email.
Breaks: Saturday and Sunday each include a 45-minute lunch break. Food is not provided. You are welcome to bring lunch and sit on the patio or in the sun room.

All cancellation and transfer requests must reach us at least 10 days before the intensive.

Also Taught as a Six-Week Course
Sacred Sovereignty is also taught over six weeks, with a week between each teaching to practice and integrate before the next one arrives.
The intensive gives you one continuous container and a single weekend to immerse yourself in. The six-week course gives each teaching seven days to settle in.
Both open the Self Mastery threshold, and either one satisfies the prerequisite for everything that follows. One gateway, two formats.
It Doesn't End Here
After the intensive you can keep practicing the journey method, and be in circle with your fellow students and me at Journey Circle. We will make sure you know about the next one and that you are invited.

No. This is for beginners and for people who already know a thing or two. The intensive assumes you have had experiences you couldn't explain, not that you have studied anything.

No. You are taught the method in a way that opens the door and gives you everything you need to keep practicing. For some it happens quickly, for others more slowly. For everyone it is their own. I am here every step of the way.

Some people don't, on the first attempt. Nothing is wrong. You get more than one journey to try, and I'll help you find what is in the way. The skill is real and it is trainable. It may simply not be happening the way you expect. As my teachers have said: never is nothing happening.

The teachings are recorded, and audio replays are sent afterward along with your guidebook PDFs. They are for review and return, not a substitute for being there. Journeys and sharing are not recorded.

Yes, and some students do. Each time I teach it, channeled information comes in for the specific group that has gathered. Taking it again lets you integrate at a deeper level.
