This story feels import today and during this time because we are really seeing duality painted across our nation. The right and wrongness of politics, information, etc. We are pointing stiff fingers at good and bad and raising our voices for what should and shouldn’t be.
You might be questioning, does vision really get us where we want to be?
Because we ain’t there yet.
Shamanism is an ancient tradition that dates back at least 40,000 years and was used by most indigenous cultures in the world. Shamanic healing techniques are based on the belief that all experiences affect your soul, and that all healing comes through the soul. Once the soul is healed, other healings can then manifest in the physical, emotions and mental bodies.
Both the new moon and the woman’s menses cycle have phases. Phases that have different needs, expressions, gifts, and power. It amazes me, the more I learn about the moon and the more I learn about the power of our cycle - I am here to confirm for you that we can really live in harmony with our many phases. We can even use these phases to get more done, refuel more quickly, navigate and understand our emotional ebbs and flows as well as use our fiery side to our benefit vs. our destruction.
She wants to resist it because she has a fear of change, fear of her own power. What if it is too much/not enough? What if her powers destroy life as she knows it?

The voice she is hearing is her own. Her soul is calling her to her truest potential.

As streaks streamed my cheeks, a certain phrase in my mind started to loop. “I am not going to fix the world. I am only going to add to the goodness.” I started to cry even harder. My heart aced because I have believed that I could fix it.

I am surprised because I have never felt the momentum of building energy on energy. Each New Moon event, we align to our hearts, our inner voice. We clear away energies that do not match us, that we most likely picked up from living our daily lives. We choose words, write sentences and focus our energy in a certain direction, the direction of our goals.
